For those who can afford such retirement cruise ship living arrangements this appears to be a nice alternative to the more low-key and sedentary lifestyle of a traditional nursing home. I think baby boomer retirement will bring a diverse group of retirees into the assisted living market place which will increase demand for such luxury housing options. As long as prices are close to similarly equipped assisted living centers I can't imagine why these cruise ships wouldn't succeed.
